Interior paint can be used to add punch and vibrancy, or it can be used as a subtle backdrop.  We at Color Touch Painting have done plenty of both in hundreds of Bay Area homes. However, contemporary painting contractors and Interior designers often opt for using white paint as a design element in itself. This creates a neutral backdrop for other design elements in the home such as architecture, furniture, art-work, lighting and appliances. In addition, when spaces  have lots of glass and panoramic views, a white paint will never clash with that million dollar vista!
