House Painting in San Francisco’s Westwood neighborhood

Our painting team recently completed a San Francisco exterior painting project in the Westwood neighborhood. There were a lot of windows, which required a ton of glazing and prep, but the results were worth it. For us, paint prep is synonymous with removing old paint that is failing or going to fail. We use heat-guns to loosen old paint. Then we use carbide scrapers, “tear-drops” and molding scrapers to carefully remove the old paint without damaging the redwood underneath. To us, it is a bit like archeology! We feel that the key to any long-lasting job is thorough and careful prep, but a great color scheme doesn’t hurt!
